Stephen Leeb, Ph.D., founder and chariman of The Leeb Group has been praised as "one of the country's foremost financial experts.”

He is a frequent and respected guest on national television and radio including CNN, Bloomberg Fox News and NPR.  And, Dr. Leeb is a prolific author of New York Times best-selling books that present his macro-perspectives on global economic and investing trends:

In Getting in on the Ground Floor (1986), Dr. Leeb accurately predicted the Dow would surge past 4000, helping investors take advantage of one of the longest secular bull markets in American history.

In Defying the Market (1999), he warned investors that the tech bubble making everybody so giddy would explode, and urged them to get out of ASAP.

In The Oil Factor (2004), Dr. Leeb predicted that due to rising inflation, oil would hit $100 a barrel and that gold—then trading at only $300—would soar past $1,000.

In The Coming Economic Collapse (2006) he foresaw the housing crash that would wipe out investors, calling it “the vicious circle to end all circles”…and explained why interest rates would remain near zero.

And in Game Over (2009), he showed why resource conflicts and shortages were on the horizon—and which companies countries would likely profit from them, some of which have since surged 80%, 100%, 109%, 207% and 223%.

As an expert on energy, materials and their interrelationships, Dr. Leeb consulted for the Congressional Research Service in Spring 2011.

Dr. Leeb earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He also holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Illinois.
